IDT and Wind River have created a dedicated team of engineers committed to the optimization and deployment of new products for mutual customers. The Wind River / IDT Joint Steering Committee ensures a long-term, solutions-based roadmap with tighter integration between IDT processors and Wind River's software development tools and integrated software solutions.

The first solution resulting from this agreement is Tornado II IDE support for IDT's RC32334 and RC32332 integrated communications processors, which is now available for customer shipments. Beta code of the Tornado II IDE support for the RC32351 and RC32355 integrated communications processors is available now from IDT. Production versions of Tornado II IDE support will be available from Wind River by summer of 2002. This support adds to Wind River's current product portfolio for IDT's processor product family that includes Tornado for Managed Switches, geared toward manufacturers of data networking, switch, and router equipment as well as Tornado for Home Gateways for developing broadband access gateway equipment.
