(TM) (Integrated Device Technology IDT (NASDAQ: IDTI) was founded in 1980 as a semiconductor vendor. Employing approximately 2500 people worldwide, headquartered in San Jose, California and operating a fab in Hillsboro, Oregon, the company both designs and fabricates semiconductor components. , Inc.; Nasdaq:IDTI IDTI Integrated Device Technology Inc ), a leading communications IC company, today strengthened its position as a leading provider of high-performance digital logic with the introduction of its advanced ultra-low-voltage CMOS (Complementary Metal Oxide Semiconductor) Pronounced "c-moss." The most widely used integrated circuit design. It is found in almost every electronic product from handheld devices to mainframes.  (AUC AUC

) logic family including a high-performance level-shifting device that can be configured to shift between 0.8-volt, 1.2-volt, 1.5-volt, 1.8-volt, and 2.5-volt voltage nodes. The new IDT AUC device is also the fastest level-shifting logic device on the market today, with 50 percent less propagation delay when compared to other level-shifting alternatives.

The company's breakthrough AUC164245 level shifter is the first device capable of supporting level shifting for 1.2-volt and under 1.0-volt operating nodes, and is the first product available to support level shifting for the entire range of voltages from 0.8 volts to 2.7 volts.

The IDT AUC164245 level shifter was designed as a solution to the I/O (Input/Output) The transfer of data between the CPU and a peripheral device. Every transfer is an output from one device and an input to another. See PC input/output.

voltage disparities encountered by designers of networking, telecom, server and computing products. The device is ideal for high-performance and ultra-low-voltage level-shifting applications such as bus-to-bus or processor-to-bus data transfer, where the buses or processors have differing voltages; and next-generation technology with new processor, physical interface, and memory technology interfacing with legacy devices. The device's unique capability to support level shifting at 1.2-volt and under 1.0-volt nodes enables the device to integrate a variety of I/Os as designers move toward lower voltages and faster speeds.

"New IDT products such as the AUC164245 are the proof points of our commitment to develop AUC as the next-generation logic standard," said Kevin Walsh, director of strategic marketing for the IDT digital logic product division. "These high-performance devices offer designers the capabilities that empower them to push the envelope in building communications and computing products. Industry-first features such as level-shifting support for voltage nodes that include 1.2 and 0.8 volts, and the fastest operation for a level-shifting device demonstrate the superior performance of AUC technology and the company's drive to help spearhead AUC evolution."

IDT is part of an alternate-source alliance that includes Texas Instruments and others to support AUC as the next-generation logic standard. AUC technology provides significant benefits to communications, computing and telecommunications applications by operating at low power and high speed while maintaining overall system signal integrity. Continuing its commitment to AUC development, IDT will broaden its portfolio of AUC logic devices with the introduction of additional AUC family members, including double, quad and octal A numbering system that uses eight digits. It is used as a shorthand method for representing binary characters that use six-bits. Each three bits (half a character) is converted into a single octal digit. Okta is Greek for 8.  variants during the next several months.
