IDS Scheer Strengthens its Foothold in the Americas with Major Investment in U.S. Market.

Company Announces New Executive Hires, West Coast Office Opening, and Strategic Partnerships to Support Growth in the Americas

AMELIA ISLAND, Fla. -- IDS Scheer, the leading provider of solutions for business process excellence, today announced at ARIS ProcessWorld 2007 it has bolstered its investment in the U.S. market with the addition of new executive hires, the opening of a West Coast office in Mountain View, California, and the strengthening of strategic partnerships in the Americas to support sales growth.

IDS Scheer has significantly enhanced its executive management team to support the renewed focus on ARIS Platform product sales with the following executive appointments:

* Charles Doucot was appointed in December to the position of Managing Director & Senior Vice President, IDS Scheer Americas. Mr. Doucot will lead sales of the ARIS Platform and be instrumental in helping IDS Scheer reach its sales and profit targets in the Americas. Mr. Doucot joins IDS Scheer from Sybase where he was Vice President of Sales & Vice President of Channels, SI's and ISV Programs.

* Kapi Attawar was named Head of Strategic Technology Alliances, and is responsible for developing and maintaining global technology partnerships in the U.S. Mr. Attawar previously led International Field Marketing & Alliances at CA-based Sybase.

* Michael Brown was named Director of ARIS Consulting. Mr. Brown has more than 20 years of technology experience and domain expertise in SAP software. He most notably was Consulting Sales Vice President at Cap Gemini America.

* Richard Pinos was appointed Director of Sales. Prior to IDS Scheer, Mr. Pinos was Director of Enterprise Markets at Canada-based Protus IP Solutions where he developed strategy and built a sales team that drove significant revenue growth. Mr. Pinos has 18 years of experience as a sales and marketing executive.

* Paul DiTucci was also named to the role of Director of Partner Sales. Mr. DiTucci previously served a number of strategic roles at HP for 23 years. In his recent position as HP Software Sales Manager, Mr. DiTucci led a team of nine account managers and six solution architects responsible for achieving more than $22 million in sales.

IDS Scheer has also announced the opening of a new West Coast office in Mountain View, California. The office began operations in early 2007. In June, IDS Scheer founder Prof. Dr. August-Wilhelm Scheer will host a grand opening for the new office. The new office will also serve as IDS Scheer's Research and Development (R&D) and Innovation Lab for work with its technology partners. In a complementary move, Innovation and Corporate Marketing will be led out of the U.S. by Dr. Mathias Kirchmer who now assumes a new role of Chief Innovation & Marketing Officer, IDS Scheer Group. He will guide marketing and innovation for IDS Scheer worldwide.

In addition, IDS Scheer will continue to work with its channel,, reseller, technology and system integrator partners such as Corticon, Grupo Assa, Oracle, PMOLink, Tibco and SAP to support exponential growth of ARIS licenses in the Americas region.
