The corrected release reads:

IDC REVIEWS BASE ONE'S GRID COMPUTING See peer-to-peer computing. AS "PRAGMATIC, SCALABLE AND EXTENSIBLE"; BASE ONE GRANTED ADDITIONAL US PATENT FOR GRID/CLUSTER DATABASE TECHNOLOGY; BASE ONE TO EXHIBIT AT TECHXNY OCTOBER 5-7

Base One International Corporation, a leading supplier of software for developing grid and cluster computing applications, today announced that International Data Corporation (IDC) the leading industry analyst organization tracking the grid computing marketplace has issued a Research Bulletin about Base One.

IDC's report, from their High Performance Systems group, identifies Base One's grid and cluster computing technology as a flexible, modular, grid / cluster computing solution that can be adapted to fit evolving customer needs. In addition, IDC identifies Base One's business application focus and unique experience in implementing database-centric grid technology as providing Base One with a major opportunity in the grid software marketplace.

"IDC sees significant Grid server market growth through 2008 in database oriented transaction / business applications enabled for grid" said Earl C. Joseph II Joseph II, 1741–90, Holy Roman emperor (1765–90), king of Bohemia and Hungary (1780–90), son of Maria Theresa and Holy Roman Emperor Francis I, whom he succeeded. He was the first emperor of the house of Hapsburg-Lorraine (see Hapsburg).

Early Reign

From the death of his father (1765) to the death of his mother (1780) Joseph ruled the Hapsburg lands jointly with his mother but had little authority.
, Research Vice President, High Performance Systems of IDC. "Base One is focusing on this high growth market space."

IDC's Research Bulletin about Base One is being distributed as part of IDC's Workstations and High Performance Systems Continuous Intelligence Service. The full report is also available on the Base One International Corporation web site at www.boic.com.

Base One Granted Additional US Patent for Grid/Cluster Database Technology

Base One has been awarded another US Patent, confirming its leadership in high performance database technology that scales from a single desktop to a large grid or multiple clusters of computers. This most recent patent greatly simplifies the programming and deployment of high efficiency applications that store and retrieve data on remote (Microsoft, IBM, Oracle and Sybase) databases, residing on Windows, Unix/Linux, AS/400, and IBM mainframes. Internally, Base One's technology optimizes access for each type of database - while providing a single, straightforward, external interface (1) A connection to a device outside the computer's cabinet. Contrast with internal interface.

(2) A connection to the WAN side of a router. The WAN may be a public or private network. Contrast with internal interface.
that works for both local and remote databases without any application source code changes.

"This database patent extends Base One's leadership in grid and cluster computing. High performance database business applications built on grids and clusters of computers is where we, and IDC, see significant market growth" said Steven Asherman President and CTO of Base One.

Base One to Exhibit at TECHXNY October 5-7

Base One will be exhibiting at TECHXNY at booth #3042, in the Javits Center, New York City, October 5-7. TECHXNY is "the showcase for the most dynamic business technology players and products in the world, in the business capital of the world".
