 IDC ANNOUNCES NEW PUBLICATION, WINDOWS STYLES, TO LAUNCH IN JANUARY;
 MICROSOFT EXPRESSES SUPPORT
 NEW YORK, Oct. 13 /PRNewswire/ -- International Desktop Communications today announced the launch of Windows Style, a magazine to provide type, graphics, and design information to users of the Windows platform. Cal Calhoun, IDC's president, says "the tremendous growth in Windows and Windows-supported software has created a strong need for Windows Style. The magazine will offer guidance and 'how to' coverage to over 200,000 registered Microsoft Windows users." The monthly magazine will premiere in January, 1992.
 Peter Pathe, director of Microsoft's Windows Accessories Group, said "the growth of Windows and the rapid acceptance of its graphic capabilities makes Windows Style an important source of information. Windows Style will deliver a message with a different focus to the many business users of Windows -- many of whom have little background in graphics and design. The time is right." Pathe added, "We also feel it will benefit the many software developers creating applications for the Windows platform. Microsoft is very supportive of the project."
 International Desktop Communications is the publisher of PC Publishing and Presentations and Desktop Communications.
