IDB COMMUNICATIONS AND TELECOM NEW ZEALAND INTERNATIONAL SIGN AGREEMENT FOR INTERNATIONAL TELEPHONE SERVICE

 LOS ANGELES, June 18 /PRNewswire/ -- IDB Communications Group Inc. (NASDAQ: IDBX) announced today that the company's private line and international long distance telephone unit, IDB WORLDCOM, has signed an operating agreement with Telecom New Zealand International Ltd. (TNZI).
 IDB WORLDCOM's agreement with TNZI, signed by Steve Carroll, president of IDB WORLDCOM, and Fred Weismiller, managing director of TNZI, enables IDB WORLDCOM to provide international telephone services to New Zealand.
 "We are pleased that our agreement with TNZI will enable us to provide service to customers in the Asia-Pacific Region," said Mike Sauer, vice president, International Relations and Carrier Services for IDB WORLDCOM. "This further solidifies IDB as a global telecommunications company."
