IDB ANNOUNCES OPERATING AGREEMENT FOR IBS SERVICE WITH COLOMBIA

 LOS ANGELES, April 13 /PRNewswire/ -- IDB WORLDCOM, the private line and international long distance telephone unit of IDB Communications Group Inc. (NASDAQ: IDBX), announced that the company signed an operating agreement with Empresa de Telecomunicaciones de Colombia (TELECOM).
 IDB WORLDCOM's agreement with Colombia, signed on April 1, 1993, by Steve Carroll, president of IDB WORLDCOM, and Clara Elsa Villalba de Sandoval, president of TELECOM, enables IDB WORLDCOM to offer the lease of voice and data international business services (IBS) with Colombia via the Intelsat system.

Belmar, vice president, Business Development- Latin America, for IDB WORLDCOM. "We are now ready to serve our customers with IBS services to most countries of Latin America."
 Operating a diverse global network of fiber optic submarine cable and satellite transmission services, IDB WORLDCOM provides numerous routing options to virtually every region in the world, with operating agreements with over 100 countries.
 IDB Communications Group Inc. operates a domestic and international communications network which provides its customers with radio and television transmission services, international private line and long distance telephone services, facsimile and data connections and mobile satellite communications capabilities.
