The objectives of EPA's criteria pollutant program are focused on setting National Ambient Air Quality Standards The National Ambient Air Quality Standards (NAAQS) are standards established by the United States Environmental Protection Agency that apply for outdoor air throughout the country.  (NAAQS NAAQS National Ambient Air Quality Standards ) for widespread pollutants considered harmful to public health and the environment. EPA's air toxics program is focused on reducing the risks associated with hazardous air pollutants listed in the Clean Air Act. ICF's role will include environmental model development, ecological risk assessment, risk assessment methodology development, uncertainty and variability analysis, technical guidance development, and communications and outreach support for the program.
