Neighbors, and the Stanley Isaacs Neighborhood Center, who are partners in the Rutgers project, currently provide tutoring and other services to over 500 youth and their families who live on the upper east side of Manhattan. These community organizations will work closely with IBS Interactive and Rutgers to design and implement the new web-based application. When completed, the new application can be used by thousands of community organizations across the nation to schedule and track their services to clients. The new web-based application and its database will reside on a server computer at each partner community-based organization and allow the user to create a customized interface.

"This project illustrates our ability to transition an organization from a closed computing environment to an open, web-based environment where the collaborative nature of the Internet can be harnessed to its fullest," said Nick Loglisci, President and Chief Executive Officer of IBS Interactive. "Our expertise in working with Internet applications to create, customize, implement, and manage web-based solutions will allow us to provide the RTSSP with the functionalities and greater accessibility they need to achieve their goals."

"Our intent was to find a partner on this project from day one--it was built into our U.S. Department of Education grant proposal," said Earl P. Thomas, Rutgers Project Manager. Juan Martinez, Rutgers Project Director, said, "In IBS Interactive, we have found a company with an interest in education and the expertise to create, customize, implement, and manage the development of web-based solutions in a timely manner."
