IBM BROADENS NETVISTA FAMILY WITH NEW BUSINESS DESKTOPS.

IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  announced the new NetVista A Series of desktop business computers, combining new standards for simplicity, ease of use, and smaller footprints with the security and manageability features required by large enterprise businesses.

The new NetVista A Series is designed for large and medium-sized enterprises in segments such as retail, health care and banking that require highly managed computers with proven processor and chip technologies; stable, unchanging un·chang·ing

The NetVista A20, A40 and A40p models provide new mainstream business choices for a NetVista family that already includes X Series all-in-one computers See all-in-one. , S Series legacy-free devices, and N Series Thin Client network computers.

Of interest to many business customers is a relatively new IBM manageability tool called Rapid Restore, available as a free download for NetVista A Series customers. In response to the most commonly experienced system failures, the Rapid Restore software will, through a hidden partition of the hard drive, allow a PC to be quickly restored to its original software configuration. Rapid Restore is just one of the many manageability tools IBM provides for its business PCs.
