IBM, WITH MCDATA, SETS PRECEDENT BY OFFERING COMPLETE, INTEGRATED, OPEN SANs.


McDATA Corp., a Storage Area Network (SAN) infrastructure company, and IBM (International Business Machines Corporation, Armonk, NY, www.ibm.com) The world's largest computer company. IBM's product lines include the S/390 mainframes (zSeries), AS/400 midrange business systems (iSeries), RS/6000 workstations and servers (pSeries), Intel-based servers (xSeries)  Corp. announced a worldwide reseller agreement under which IBM will resell the McDATA ED-5000 Enterprise Fibre Channel Director and management software as a core addition to the IBM Enterprise Storage Area Network.
