The Home Depot The Home Depot (NYSE: HD) is an American retailer of home improvement and construction products and services.

, the world's largest home improvement retailer, has selected IBEX ibex (ī`bĕks), wild goat, genus Capra, found in rugged country on mountain ranges from central Asia to the Himalayas, S Europe, and NE Africa.  Construction to build its 59th Street store in Manhattan. The selection comes on the heels of IBEX starting construction on Home Depot's 23rd Street flagship store.

The new stores are part of Home Depot's ambitious expansion plans in Manhattan and other urban downtowns.

The 59th Street store, located in Vornado's luxurious mixed use Bloomberg Tower One Beacon Court (also called the Bloomberg Tower), is a skyscraper on the East Side of Midtown Manhattan. It houses the headquarter of Bloomberg L.P. It is located at 731 Lexington Avenue (between East 58th and 59th streets). , otherwise known as One Beacon Court, will be taking advantage of one of the world's busiest retail environments largely generated by nearby Bloomingdale's. It will be geared toward pedestrian traffic and entail multiple levels.

The store itself will assume approximately 100,000 s/f on four levels and include space for design showrooms on the mezzanine and lower levels. Construction has already begun with an opening scheduled for this August.

Work began on the 23rd Street store in October 2003, with an opening scheduled for mid July. Located between Fifth and Sixth Avenues, the store will assume more than 120,000 s/f with a street-level showroom, lower-level retail floor and mezzanine featuring design-related products.
