Information Analysis Inc. (NASDAQ: IAIC) and Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE: CA) today announced that UNICAST/2000 for CA-IDMS COBOL is now available for use in remediation factories. This powerful analysis and intelligent remediation tool automates Y2K compliance for CA-IDMS COBOL applications.

UNICAST/2000 for CA-IDMS COBOL is a key component of CA-Discovery 2000, an integrated solution to address the Year 2000 challenge and effectively transition legacy applications into the 21st century. It finds and corrects data elements in CA-IDMS COBOL applications and makes these applications Year 2000 compliant.

CA-IDMS COBOL is a strategic language for thousands of mission-critical mainframe applications utilizing CA's IDMS database management system. Many applications developed using CA-IDMS COBOL use two-digit years. With the approach of the year 2000, these programs may not handle the century change correctly and need to be fixed.

Collectively, more than 20 million lines of code are currently being remediated by UNICAST/2000.
