The Institute for the Advancement of Emerging Technologies in Education, IAETE IAETE Institute for the Advancement of Emerging Technologies in Education  has been created to support the purposeful use of new and emerging technologies to improve teaching, learning, and school management. IAETE exists in an open environment where practitioners, policymakers, business leaders, and technology developers can interact with new technologies, particularly as they relate to education.

This Institute fills a critical need of serving as the first and only organization to bridge the widening gap between technical solutions for business AND education. They will be a trusted resource for emerging educational technologies serving both corporations and educational organizations.

Corporate partners gain valuable insight into the education market by working with the Institute. Technical product developers share their technologies with the understanding that their products will be subjected to rigorous testing or adaptations before placement in an IAETE affiliated school. The Institute is currently investigating advanced networking applications such as teleconferencing, virtual reality, data visualization See information visualization. , and the delivery of high-quality digital resources. The Institute will continue to seek new technology product developers on an ongoing basis to ensure that all new technologies are given serious consideration.
