ISO 26000 is intended for use by organizations of all types, in both public and private sectors, in developed and developing countries. The seven core social responsibility issues covered in the standard are environment, human rights, labor rights, organizational governance, fair operating practices, consumer issues and community development. ISO 26000 is not intended to be a management system standard or to be used for certification. The final standard is expected to be published in 2009. http://commons .iabc.com/advocacy/.
