the skills necessary to successfully manage their chapters and regions. Over the course of two and a half days, seasoned IABC volunteers from around the world will share their ideas, experiences and resources on topics ranging from leadership development to simple and effective management tactics.

Past attenders say that the information and tools they gather at L.I. are essential to fulfilling their roles as chapter leaders. "As the incoming president for the IABC/Victoria chapter, I found the Leadership Institute invaluable," says Belinda Belinda, in astronomy, one of the natural satellites, or moons, of Uranus.

Schmidt, past president of the chapter. "By the time I arrived back in Australia, I had a clear view of how I wanted to get started in my new role as president and how we should go about developing a strategic road map for the chapter. It was inspiring to hear other chapter leaders talk about the programs, alliances and activities they've put into place to create more value for members, and it really opened my eyes as to what could be achieved and to the support available to us."

Current IABC volunteer leaders and anyone interested in taking on an association leadership role in the future are encouraged to attend, www.iabc.com/leaders/cli.htm
