IABC Announces New Slate of Officers for Research Foundation Board.
SAN FRANCISCO -- The International Association of Business Communicators (IABC) Research Foundation board of trustees and the executive board have approved the following slate of officers for the board of the IABC Research Foundation. The approved candidates will take office on 24 June 2008.
"The new trustees bring the global perspective and research experience needed to help the Research Foundation Board of Trustees advance its efforts to explore vital issues affecting communication professionals worldwide," said Glenda Holmes, ABC*, nominating committee chair and 2006-2007 IABC chair.
* Robin McCasland (Dallas, Texas)
McCasland is director of communication and a senior consultant to a variety of corporate clients for Buck Consultants in Dallas, Texas. She has more than 20 years of experience in strategic corporate communication and marketing, major event planning, community relations and media relations, and is recognized as a senior-level leader and award-winning professional communicator. McCasland has spoken at several conferences and seminars and won numerous industry awards, including an IABC Gold Quill Award, a Silver Quill of Excellence and several Bronze Quill Awards from the IABC/Dallas and IABC/Fort Worth chapters.
* Gregory Gordon (Chicago)
Gordon is senior vice president of research and strategy at L.C. Williams & Associates LLC. A researcher, strategist and communicator, Greg draws on his broad experience to help client teams identify, develop and leverage strategies that will achieve measurable objectives. He has three decades of professional experience that encompass research and measurement, strategic planning and communication. Greg has designed, implemented and executed a wide range of research programs and initiatives. He works extensively with qualitative and quantitative methodologies, both as stand-alone initiatives and as part of comprehensive, multi-phase research programs. He is a seasoned facilitator, focus group moderator and executive interviewer.
* Cloreth Greene, ABC (Kingston, Jamaica)
Greene is managing director of the communication consultancy Wild and Wonderful, and past president of the IABC/Caribbean chapter. Greene's professional experience includes positions at Andrews Memorial Hospital, OPAC Printing Solutions and the University College of the Caribbean. She has lectured extensively at the Management Institute for National Development, University College of the Caribbean and the Professional Business & Computer Institute on a variety of topics such as international marketing, business ethics, customer communication and business communication.
* Iza Raath (Brussels, Belgium)
Raath is content manager at Fortis Bank in Brussels, Belgium, where she is involved with project management of private- and merchant-banking communication plans. Her past experience includes consultant positions at Levi Strauss Europe, Euromedical Communications and various corporate clients in Belgium, Ireland, Bermuda and South Africa. At IABC, Raath has been a board member of IABC/Belgium and director of chapter relations for IABC/Europe and Middle East. Raath is also a member of several other professional organizations, such as Professional Women International, Belgian Public Relations Centre, National Union of Journalists and European Society for Translation Studies.
