This new application will further leverage IA's CheckVision Archive(tm) product, which allows banks to electronically store transaction information. CheckVision Exception Item Processing can help banks reduce errors, overtime and the risk of missing the 24-hour deadline, saving them time and money. CheckVision Exception Item Processing allows banks to immediately sort and send critical item information and images of items to specified employees with various skill levels or approval limits. In addition, work can be routed by location or cut-off times to speed and balance the workload throughout the organization. Items can also be reconciled and coded by exception category. This provides banks a number of benefits including minimized write-offs, lower sorter maintenance, reduced overtime and the elimination of manual film retrievals for copies of lost items. Because CheckVision Exception Item Processing electronically transmits check and item images, banks no longer have to physically sort or hand-deliver exception items. All additional sorting is also eliminated because batches of items are grouped electronically into categories such as signature verification, overdraft, stop payment or unposted items. The processing of exceptions can be started earlier and resolved more quickly because exception files can be transmitted to the appropriate worker and data corrections or payment decisions returned online. The new exception item processing application works in conjunction with IA's CheckVision Archive. IA's CheckVision Archive is an advanced software solution for financial institutions to store and leverage transaction information, such as check images, MICR data and credit slips. "By using new technology in applications, such as IA's Exception Item Processing, overall productivity is increased, bank operation costs lowered and customer service improved," said Terry Leger, vice president of marketing for IA. "With IA's CheckVision Archive, banks have a strategic solution that can help streamline their operations and possibly reduce write-offs." IA's CheckVision Archive is the keystone of such new applications. CheckVision Archive can store in electronic form all types of transaction information such as on-us and transit checks images, as well as credit and cash tickets. This enterprise archive product opens the door to a host of new services and delivery channels, which can help banks improve customer service and create new fee-based offerings to attract and retain new customers. This newly introduced software is strategic to the banking industry and can lead to future applications in electronic banking, advanced cash management and Electronic Check Presentment (ECP) with image exchange. Internally, banks can use CheckVision Archive to streamline and accelerate check-processing operations through more efficient storage and retrieval. It can also help banks respond to new challenges facing the financial services industry such as increased competition, globalization and geographic distribution. IA CheckVision Archive customers include Comerica, SouthTrust, Fleet and Citibank. IA will present CheckVision Archive and its recently introduced new applications: CheckVision Advanced Positive Pay(tm), CheckVision Daily Item Delivery(tm), CheckVision Fax Delivery(tm) and CheckVision Exception Item Processing(tm), at the Bank Administration Institute (BAI) trade show, Booth No. 611, March 24-27, in New Orleans.
