The new versions of Readiris provide Windows users with a powerful tool for boosting productivity in an efficient, accurate and cost-effective manner.

Readiris Pro 11 productively converts volumes of documents and images into editable text in numerous applications. Used with flatbed scanners, multi-function "all-in-one" devices and digital cameras, Readiris Pro 11 offers unprecedented speed and accuracy. New features and functionality of Readiris Pro 11 for Windows include:

--Improved User Interface: logical interface features new, modified "dimmed" buttons and new toolbars in the Windows XP look and feel;

--New Input Formats: opens the most commonly used image formats (JPEG, BMP, TIFF, etc.) and PDF files. Also supports compression formats DjVu and JPEG 2000 and easily handles multi-page documents such as TIFF or PDF files;

--Microsoft SpreadsheetML Output: based on XML, the new SpreadsheetML enables richer editing and formatting of Excel files optimized for Windows 2003. Using Readiris Pro 11, tables are perfectly reproduced in Excel 2003, retaining text and background colors;

--Microsoft World ML Output: enables richer editing and formatting of documents in the WordML output format;

--Comprehensive PDF Output Types: four types of PDF output are now available: image over text, text over image, text, and image only;

--New version of I.R.I.S.' Autoformat technology: retains color backgrounds, texts and underlines; improved formatting of columned documents reproduces original layout to perfection.

In addition to the features above, Readiris Pro 11 Corporate Edition for Windows now includes functionality unique to the needs of the corporate market, such as:

--Advanced PDF Generation: enables creation of PDFs with optimized file size; enables digital signature of PDFs;

--Easy Separation of Batches into Several Documents: enables users to separate, recognize and save different documents into different output files when scanning batches;

--Powerful Indexing Based on Barcode Reading: enables separation of documents and produces a page containing barcodes; more than 20 barcodes are automatically recognized (including the PDF 417 barcode) and the embedded information is saved in an XML index;

--Productive "Watched Folder": systematically handles recognition of any image file dropped into this folder; users can leave the software running constantly and new documents will be recognized promptly.

Readiris Pro 11 Corporate Edition for Windows is also available in a "Middle East Version" which recognizes Arabic, Farsi and Hebrew, and an "Asian Version" which recognizes Korean, Japanese, Simplified and Traditional Chinese.

Readiris Pro 11 for Windows joins the previously released Readiris Pro 11 for Mac OS X.

--A 486-based Intel PC or compatible (a Pentium-based PC is recommended);

--64 MB RAM (128 MB RAM is recommended to process grayscale and color images);

--120 MB free disk space (105 MB of disk space is sufficient if sample files are left on CD-ROM);

--Windows XP, Windows ME, Windows 2000, Windows 98 or Windows NT 4.0 operating systems;

--Readiris Pro 11 Corporate Edition requires a monitor with a 1024 x 768 resolution.
