I now know How I'll reach the stars.
HER stint on X Factor may be a fading memory but Roberta Howett is back on the fame trail. Fans of the reality show will recall how Mayo media mogul Louis Walsh decided to vote the Dublin singer off the shows in 2004. Now she and Louis have buried the hatchet and meets regularly to catch up, with the music mogul even offering her advice on how best to launch her solo career.
The man behind Boyzone, Westlife and most recently Jedward, introduced Roberta to Ronan Keating and Sharon Corr, both of whom she has worked with as a backing singer in the past year.
She said: "Myself and Sharon Osbourne were very close for the first couple of years, but as she's based in the States it's hard to stay in touch. "She did tell Louis to look after me. He's been very good. I'm actually releasing my new single independently, without any record company behind me so it's great to have his support."
The blonde launched her single Beautiful Lies at a special event at Odessa nightclub in Dublin.
After years of suffering the disappointments of the music industry, the former credit controller from Dublin now hopes her big break is just around the corner.
