Kimberley lives at home with her parents, an hour's plane-ride away from the Home And Away set, in a town called Surfer's Paradise.
"It's a great place to escape to and unwind," she says.
"But I'm not complaining about being busy - the way everything is going for me now is great."
Kimberley has not abandoned her other job with Australian Gladiators - but she hopes this role will lead to more television parts.
She says: "Eventually Joanne gets what she deserves for the havoc she causes and leaves Summer Bay - but there's every possibility she might be back."
