I've had fun being a bitch; Kimberley Joseph.
The host of the UK/Australian Ashes clash of the Gladiators swaps her squeaky-clean image to become a drug-dealing sex siren in Home And Away (ITV, 1.25pm/5.10pm).
Kimberley, 22, plays Joanne, who has been making waves since she arrived in Summer Bay.
As Donald Fisher's secretary at Summer Bay High, she has a respectable cover for the real business at hand - supplying drugs to the schoolchildren.
But for Kimberley, who is the regular host of the Aussie version of Gladiators, it's a welcome change of image.
"I don't want to be thought of as just a TV presenter, so this is a great chance for me," she says.
Over the coming weeks she also embarks on an obsessive campaign to seduce maths teacher Steven Matheson.
"He's not keen, but she won't take no for an answer.
"She goes out of her way to wreck any other romance he has - and ends up stalking him. She's a really dark and devious woman. But I have to say it's been great fun being so bitchy!"
It's been a busy time for Kimberley who has also been appearing on stage in Australia in a comedy with Geoffrey Hughes from Keeping Up Appearances.
She was on Home And Away briefly last year and was immediately invited back, but this is the first time she has been available.
Kimberley lives at home with her parents, an hour's plane-ride away from the Home And Away set, in a town called Surfer's Paradise.
"It's a great place to escape to and unwind," she says.
"But I'm not complaining about being busy - the way everything is going for me now is great."
Kimberley has not abandoned her other job with Australian Gladiators - but she hopes this role will lead to more television parts.
She says: "Eventually Joanne gets what she deserves for the havoc she causes and leaves Summer Bay - but there's every possibility she might be back."
