2 Remote will be featured in an interoperability display in the DSL Forum The DSL Forum is a world wide consortium of about 200 companies which are part of the different divisions of the telecommunication and information technology sector. The DSL Forum was founded in 1994 and is used as a platform for companies that operate in the broadband market.  booth (#30216). In this demonstration the PerformEdge product will be connected to ADC's industry-standard HDSL2 product. The PerformEdge is the world's first line-powered, temperature-hardened DSL remote that can be mounted in existing telco NIDs. PerformEdge makes it possible to install a T1 service in less than 15 minutes. Among other features the product includes a unique infrared port that will allow telco craft personnel to provision the unit, perform maintenance and diagnostics using a Palm Pilot(R). PerformEdge will be available for trials and evaluations beginning in July 2002.
