(www.hydrocision.com) announced today that its novel SpineJet MicroResector will be recognized as a winner in the 2006 'Medical Design Excellence Awards' (MDEA) competition on Wednesday, June 7, 2006, in a ceremony at the 'Medical Design & Manufacturing (MD&M) East 2006 Conference and Exposition' in New York City. MDEA, the premier awards program for the Medtech industry, annually recognizes contributions and advances in the design of medical devices. New products are evaluated on the basis of innovation, enhanced benefits to patients, and the ability of a product-development team to overcome design and engineering challenges.
