The VEXTA brand [alpha]Step is a stepping motor system with built-in sensors to detect and correct for missing steps, providing performance on par with servo motors. Having the feedback device built into the windings also eliminates the need for encoders or resolvers, reducing the motor's size. Basic models are offered with round shafts in 42,60 and 85 frame sizes, in either AC or 24 VDC.
