Hurricane Katrina aid.

Consolidated Carpet (Consolidated) is proud to announce that the firm has donated carpet and flooring materials in support of a massive rebuilding effort to restore New Orleans' firehouses destroyed in Hurricane Katrina.

This contribution included carpet, carpet tile, Ardex and specialty flooring for the seven firehouses. This donation was made as part of The Firehouse Rebuilding Project, which involved reconstruction of seven firehouses in New Orleans, Lousiana.

Hurricane Katrina destroyed 22 of the 33 engine houses in New Orleans.

Efforts at rebuilding began in December 2005, but the initial progress was slow. This project involved the construction of seven new firehouses in New Orleans, astonishingly over the course of eight months.
