HUNT OIL, a U.S. oil company, signed an agreement to purchase excess natural gas from Peru's Camisea field to be used in a proposed liquefied natural gas liquefied natural gas: see under natural gas.
Liquefied natural gas (LNG)

A product of natural gas which consists primarily of methane. Its properties are those of liquid methane, slightly modified by minor constituents.

Hunt Oil also signed a deal with Belgium's Tractebel to sell 2.7 million metric tons of LNG annually from the export project, to be built on Peru's Pacific coast, Tractebel says it will sell the gas in Mexico Mexico, city, Mexico
