Humana of Utah Selects Large Account Sales Executive.

SALT LAKE CITY -- Native Utah resident Christian M. Dahl has been named Large Account Sales Executive for Humana Inc.'s (NYSE: HUM) Utah commercial health insurance business in an announcement made by Earl F. Hurst, market president.

A 17-year veteran in the marketing of health and employee benefits to employers in Utah, Dahl will be responsible for new sales, account management, sales administration and retention of large group customers of 100 or more employees located throughout the state of Utah. In April 2007, Humana introduced its diverse portfolio of affordable consumer-focused insurance products in Utah offering important new choices and flexibility to businesses and consumers.

"Chris is a proven, experienced sales professional who has exceeded annual sales and renewal objectives consistently over his sales career," said Hurst. "His 17 years of experience in the health care industry and knowledge of the local business community will be invaluable to Humana in promoting not only our traditional health insurance products but our innovative consumer-focused products as well. Chris will deliver top notch guidance to large employers in Utah, deepening his relationship with brokers and employer groups while helping them to address the challenges they face in providing affordable health care benefits."

Dahl comes to Humana with extensive sales leadership, benefit management and business development experience. Dahl previously was the director of Sales for RxAmerica, a pharmacy benefit management service, and a sales representative with Employee Benefit Management Services, a third-party administrative services company serving self-insured employer groups in the western United States.

Dahl also previously served as a senior account executive for United Healthcare of Utah, as a senior account manager for PacifiCare of Utah, and as a senior key account manager for Health Benefits America (HBA).

A graduate of Cottonwood High School in Salt Lake City, Dahl earned a Bachelor of Arts in Communications from the University of Utah. Dahl also holds private, instrument, commercial and flight instructor ratings for single and multi-engine aircraft. He was previously employed as a flight instructor at Utah Aircraft Alliance for two years.
