Human Rights Campaign recognizes Nixon Peabody.


Nixon Peabody Nixon Peabody LLP is one of the largest multipractice law firms in the United States, with offices in seventeen cities and more than seven hundred attorneys collaborating across twenty-five major practice areas.  LLP LLP - Lower Layer Protocol  has received the highest rating--100%--from the Human Rights Campaign in its annual Corporate Equality Index The Corporate Equality Index is a report published by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation as a tool to rate American businesses on their treatment of gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender employees, consumers and investors. It has been published annually since 2002.  for the second consecutive year. Nixon Peabody is one of only 30 law firms and one of 195 companies nationwide to receive a 100 percent rating.

Each year, the Human Rights Campaign rates companies on their comprehensive workplace policies for gay, lesbian, bisexual, and transgender transgender or transgendered

In order to receive a perfect rating, recipients must provide the following items, among others, for their employees: Diversity training; a written nondiscrimination policy covering sexual orientation sexual orientation

This recognition from the Human Rights Campaign comes just months after the firm was named one of the "100 Best Companies To Work For" by FORTUNE magazine.

In addition, Nixon Peabody recently received the 2007 Mid-Atlantic Region Thomas L. Sager Award which is given every year to a law firm that demonstrates a sustained commitment to diversity and minority issues, especially in regards to the hiring, retention, and promotion of minority attorneys.
