Booth's 20 year tenure with Syntex includes serving as president of Syntex Pharmaceuticals Pacific, president of Syntex Canada, and president of Syntex Dental Products Inc. He has been active in U.S. pharmaceutical industry organizations and is also a past chairman of the Pharmaceutical Manufacturers Association of Canada.

Booth recently successfully restructured Syntex's U.S. pharmaceutical business, after earlier directing the rebuilding of its Pacific and Canadian business units. Through innovative strategy and strong implementation, the sales and earnings growth of the Pacific and Canadian business were dramatically improved. Under his leadership, Syntex's Canadian unit achieved five new product marketing approvals from Canada's Health Protection Branch over a three year period.
