Huizhou 19-3/2/1 produce oil.


On November 15, CNOOC Limited announced that Huizhou 19-3/2/1 fields have produced first oil from well Huizhou 19-3-1, at a volume of 6 500 barrels of oil per day. More wells will be brought on stream gradually.

Huizhou 19-3/2/1 fields are located in block 16/08 and 16/19 about 120 kilometers southeast of Hong Kong in Eastern South China Sea.

The development of the fields is consisted of 2 platforms, 14 wells and a subsea pipeline from platforms to the floating production, storage and offloading facility (FPSO). The peak gross production capacity of the fields are designed at 45 000 barrels of oil per day.

The blocks are operated by CACT Operators Group consisting of CNOOC, Eni-China BV, Chevron Texaco China Energy Company. CNOOC holds 51% of interest in the blocks.
