I want to thank all of the past and present CNAs for all the loving care that I have received in the past two years. I cannot tell you how much it has meant to me.

For instance, thank you, Lucy, for the loving care and comfort you have given to me. Lucy was giving me a shower and I was crying because my sister had just died. Her grandfather had died that same day. We cried together. It was so comforting to know that I was not alone and someone cared about me. Hugs, kisses and kind words meant so much to me.

Many times I have been sad, depressed and crying. I even had a plan to kill myself. I did not want to live, but someone always came along and comforted me and had a kind word. I do not think I would have made it without your loving help. Today I am doing well. I am not depressed or even wearing my brace brace: see drill.

. I have come a long way since coming here, so you see what kindness has done for me.

I know some of you are going on to school--like Lupita and Alberto--to become registered nurses. They do such a great job!

Thank you, Sandy, for the great job you do in training the certified See certification.  nurse assistants. What loving people they have all turned out to be! Thank you for your singing and dancing. We enjoy it so much.

I want to especially thank dear Amy, who was my first CNA here and has a special place in my heart. And, Amy, for your baby I have something special for him (or her).

To the CNAs, please take the time to have a kind word with your residents. It means so much to them. Lastly, I want to say thank you to my daughter, Heather, and my granddaughter, Melanie, for their love, support and all the things they do for me.
