CREDIT FOR TIME SERVED

Hughes v. Slade, 347 F.Supp.2d 821 (C.D.Cal. 2004). A prisoner convicted for attempted extortion petitioned for habeas corpus habeas corpus (hā`bēəs kôr`pəs) [Lat.,=you should have the body], writ directed by a judge to some person who is detaining another, commanding him to bring the body of the person in his custody at a specified time to a  relief, challenging the denial of sentence credit for time served in a Mexican jail while awaiting extradition to the United States United States, officially United States of America, republic (2005 est. pop. 295,734,000), 3,539,227 sq mi (9,166,598 sq km), North America. The district court granted the petition, finding that the prisoner was entitled to credit for time served in the Mexican jail.
