Hughes subsidiary signs deal with entertainment company

LOS ANGELES Los Angeles (lôs ăn`jələs, lŏs, ăn`jəlēz'), city (1990 pop. 3,485,398), seat of Los Angeles co., S Calif.; inc. 1850.  -- Hughes Aircraft Hughes Aircraft Company was a major aerospace and defense company founded by Howard Hughes. The group was based near Ballona Creek, in Culver City, California, USA, on the Pacific Coast.

Hughes Aircraft was acquired by General Motors in 1985.
 Co.'s communications subsidiary has signed an option agreement to lease space and equipment on the corporation's next generation of satellites to Comsat Video Enterprises.

If exercised, the options will commit Hughes to providing eight years of satellite capacity valued at more than $100, the company said.
