Hughes selected to provide air defense system in Germany.FULLERTON, Calif.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Oct. 30, 1996--Hughes Aircraft Co. has been awarded a $12.7 million subcontract from Dornier GmbH of Germany to supply Sentry, an off-the-shelf air defense system, to the Control and Reporting Center A subordinate air control element of the tactical air control center from which radar control and warning operations are conducted within its area of responsibility.
