Hugheen Ferguson.


Hugheen Ferguson died on December 22. She was past president of both the Ontario Registered Music Teachers Association (ORMTA) and the parent group, the Canadian Federation of Music Teachers Associations (CFMTA), as well as one of the founders of the Kingston Kiwanis Music Festival.

While president of the CFMTA, Ferguson played a large part in establishing the partnership with MTNA that led to this year's collaborative conference, which took place in Toronto, Ontario, in March.
