The kit should include many different sizes of bandages, tweezers, scissors, possibly a needle and thread, tensor bandages, gauze, antibacterial lotions and wipes as well as burn treatment and anti-itch creams to help treat insect bites and poison ivy and oak contact. The first aid kit should be small enough to pack comfortably but must have all the items that could help in the case of an accident or injury. Pain medications, bee sting kits and other prescription medications may also be included if necessary.

Buying camping supplies at off-season sales, looking around at garage sales and shopping online are all ways to find new or even slightly used camping materials at very low costs.
