To begin with, the tinting film has to be softened so that it can be easily removed. For this purpose, you have to spray the outer part of the window with water. Wait for at least 10 minutes before starting to strip the tinting film.

You can also use soapy water instead of ammonia to make the tinting film softer. Once the film has been softened enough, you can start peeling the film slowly with your knife, starting from the corner of the film. Once the tinting film has been taken out, you should clean the window glass with a steel wool; this will remove the residual pieces. After that, the adhesive of the film needs to be scrubbed off, for which you can use paper towel and glass cleaner.
