Anyone who wants to play golf must understand that errors bust not be neglected for it is where he can learn from as a beginner. A hook can destroy a good game and is an error that needs some adjustments to keep it from coming back. Accept the fact that it doesn't take every game for you to play with a lot of mistakes as there would be some that will be able to play accordingly. Blunders, if adjusted earlier, can make you deliver a good performance. Bear in mind that experts were once beginners and like you, they have had their share of erratic games but as they have changed those mishits into good ones, they eventually managed to develop their style and evolved into better golfers.

To fix a hook, you have to fix the three important things which are the grip, impact, and stance. The efforts must come from the player himself as he knows where to look for reading materials on golf, there are websites that cater to golfers, videos on the game abound and by being well armed with the right tools, he can never go wrong. If you can only look closely, you will see where you fall short on the game and subsequently, a not so good game can be corrected. Win the game by having a mind open for suggestions.

If ever you see the ball is hooking to the left, chances are, it will curve on a right-left motion in the air. The ball would spin on a counter-clockwise course. Change the course of the ball like making it spin towards the opposite path by bringing the swing more towards the right with your club face directed to the left. Check on your divot's direction to be sure. To achieve that classic hook, the divot must be pointing to the right with your ball ending well on the left side of the direction of the divot.

There is nothing much a club handle can do with the direction of the swing; just plant your eyes on where the club is facing and observe how it snaps with the ball upon contact. Handling the club would always differ from that of the others as shots driven would always be one of a kind; how players address the ball and what he is into while on a game is what counts. Place your clubface square towards target to enable you seeing only your knuckles; seeing more than your knuckles means you're up to develop a hook. One can also fix a hook by being observant with the V formations that the thumb and knuckles form while your hands are gripping your club. They should be directed beside the ear and the right shoulder.
