How to Be An Inspiration to Everybody!

There are five simple steps to inspiring everybody, says Dr. Gary S. Goodman, President of Customersatisfaction.com, sales, service & success coach, and best-selling author of 12 books and the audio program, "The Law of Large Numbers How To Make Success Inevitable," published by Nightingale-Conant. According to this popular keynote speaker and radio and TV commentator, when you follow these steps you''ll even inspire yourself!

You?ve probably come across the famous line from Emerson saying that our fondest wish is someone who will make us do what we can do. Perhaps, but most of us experience a hangover of negativity when we feel we?re being MADE to do anything. Compulsion and freedom don?t make friendly companions. Still, we need to get things done, to get off the dime, to make progress and definitely, to break out of procrastination. In a word we need inspiration. One of the best ways to get it is to practice inspiring others, and here are some tips for doing it:

(1) Stay visibly occupied. People are imitators, and when they see you?re busy, suddenly, they?ll get an urge to place that languishing, but important phone call to the dentist to set that teeth cleaning appointment.

(2) Smile. Nearly every one, apart from the Gothic Rocker your teenager is dating, wants to be happy. When they ask what?s making you so happy, just say, ?I don?t know,? and get back to number one, staying busy!

(3) Never complain, unless that is, you?re at death?s door, and then do it politely. Don?t pity yourself, or join other people?s pity parties. If they say, ?Life sucks!? respond with ?Okay!? and get back to number one!

(4) Stay focused on results, not getting hung up on minutia. You?ll accomplish a lot, without fanfare, and people will admire you and want to emulate you. When they ask, ?How do you get so much done?? just say, ?I don?t know? with a big smile, and get back to number one!

(5) Don?t ever volunteer advice. The worst way to try to change someone is by trying to change someone. Lead by example, and if you ever forget how to do this, just go back to number one!

Stick to this plan and you?ll be an inspiration to everybody, including yourself!
