It then turned out she was pregnant. She is married and the baby is being brought up as her husband's, and I don't think he knows about his wife's fling.

The timing, though, is right for it to be my husband's child, and every time she sees me she gives a self-satisfied smile.

I thought I could handle his affair, but seeing this woman and her child on a regular basis, I'm not so sure that I can.

So much so, I do wonder if you are not misinterpreting what you are seeing.

If she knows you know about their fling, what you see as a self-satisfied smile may be a desperate appeal to you not to say anything.
