How Was Your Summer?

"I wish I had... I wish I hadn't..."

Now that the summer camp season is over and you are in the midst of wrapping things up and doing evaluations, take time to stop and think about how the summer went. What went well and why? What were your struggles and challenges and why?

The professional development department at the national office would love to hear about some of your experiences, your funny stories, successes, challenges, and ideas for next summer. E-mail a note to Connie Coutellier (ccoutell@ACAcamps.org). Your comments will help us ensure that publications, conferences, and training events address current issues and trends.

This is also a good time to evaluate how you are progressing professionally. If you have not completed a Professional Development Portfolio or have not updated yours recently, you might want to print one from ACA's Web site. The portfolio can be found at www.ACAcamps.org/education/. It will help you identify areas where you need more information and training or talents you have to share with the industry.
