Houston Butler.

Robyn Lea Houston and Michael Keefe Butler were united in marriage on Saturday, July 15, 2006, at six o'clock in the evening at the beautiful, historic Gulf Hills Hotel and Convention Center in Ocean Springs. Rev. Wayne Freeman, cousin of the bride, officiated at the ceremony.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Houston of Brandon. Grandparents of the bride are Anna Nevils and the late Robert Bruce Nevils of Lena, Andrew Jack Houston of Carthage, and Mr. and Mrs. George Roberson of McAllen, Texas.

The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Morey Butler of Gulfport. Grandparents of the groom are Mr. and Mrs. Gerard Vandenhazel of Smithville, Missouri, and the late John and Emma Denise Butler of Fort Myers, Florida.

Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a strapless, pearl satin, A-line dress with a chapel-length train of pleated chiffon. Tiny satin-covered buttons accented the deep V-back from the midline down. Her cathedral-length two-tier veil sprinkled with crystals and pearls and her pearl tiara were borrowed from the matron of honor, Georgia Kountouris, cousin of the bride. Attending as maid of honor was Amanda Townsend. Bridesmaids were Kristen Bland, Shelby Shields, Mandy Taylor, Tammy Houston, Aprille Knapp, and Sara Nelson.

Standing by his son's side as best man was Morey Butler. Groomsmen were Andries Butler, Robert Butler, Chad Dedeaux, Josh Workman, Daniel Bodiford, Paul Purnell, Brad Houston, Gordy Myrick, Ernest Lee, and Matt Swank.

Ariana Butler, niece of the groom, was the flower girl, and ring bearers were Michael Butler, nephew of the groom, and Chandler Houston, nephew of the bride. Joe Dan Baker and Meisam Netadj were ushers and rolled out the white carpet for the bride. Dianne Gressett of Carthage directed the ceremony and designed and created all the floral arrangements. Gordy Myrick composed and sang "All of Our Days" for his best friends, Robyn and Michael.

Following the wedding ceremony, the bride's parents honored the couple with a reception in the Gulf Hills Ballroom. Rock Out Catering provided the culinary delights, while the Rochelle Harper Band entertained guests. On the eve of the wedding, the groom's parents entertained the wedding party and family members with a sit-down dinner at Chez Charles in Ocean Springs. Guests were entertained with a slide show presentation of Robyn and Michael's lives from birth to the present. On the day of the wedding, a bridesmaids' luncheon was hosted by Lathelia Johnson, Myra Naef, Regenia Harkins, and Anna Nevils at The Bayview Gourmet.

Following a wedding trip to Riviera Maya, Mexico, the couple will reside in Ocean Springs.
