Houlihan Lawrence puts best foot forward to support cancer charity.

Houlihan Lawrence, Westchester, Putnam and Dutchess county's largest independently owned residential real estate company, is sponsoring the 11th Annual Support Connection Walk on Sunday, October 2 at FDR State Park, in Yorktown Heights.

This year's walk, which raises money to increase awareness about breast and ovarian cancer, features actress Glenn Close, and first lady and child care advocate of Westchester, Brenda Resnick Spano, as honorary chairpersons. Master of ceremonies will be radio personality Kacey Morabito of WHUD radio.

Pre-walk festivities begin at 9 a.m., followed by a stretch and warm-up to music at 9:30 a.m., then the ribbon-cutting at 10 a.m. for the three-mile walk. The event will take place rain or shine. Free refreshments will be available for all participants, along with entertainment, activities, and giveaways. There is no minimum donation required, but anyone donating or raising $25 or more will receive a free "Support-A-Walk" t-shirt.

Houlihan Lawrence has been a long-time sponsor of the Support Connection Walk. Further affirming Houlihan Lawrence's commitment to the organization, Roberta Lerner, an agent in the Croton-on-Hudson office, mounted a photography exhibition earlier this year in which a portion of the proceeds were donated to Support Connection's cause.
