Team Audrey honors Audrey Rapaport, Branch manager of Houlihard Lawrence's Rye office and company regional vice president, who survived cancer.

It was Ms. Webers' idea to rally a team from someone who's survived.

"This way, people can see that they're donating money to research that's working," she said.

Every Houlihan/Lawrence office is participating, either by swimming or by raising money.

There are two opportunities to swim: The first is at Orienta Beach Club Pool Swim in Mamaroneck, N.Y. on Saturday, July 24 and the second is at Long Island Sound Swim in Larchmont, N.Y. on Saturday, July 31.

More than 450 swimmers are expected. Last year, thanks to 400 swimmers, Swim Across America raised more than $600,000.
