Houlihan/Lawrence opens an office in New Rochelle.

Houlihan/Lawrence is opening a new office in New Rochelle with the acquisition of Oshlag-Eisner Realty at 1298 North Ave.

"Oshlag-Eisner Realty is a family-owned business that has been part of the New Rochelle community for more than 50 years and we're excited to have a firm with this great reputation become part of the Houlihan/ Lawrence family," said Stephen Meyers, president of Houlihan/ Lawrence.

"We have been active in the New Rochelle market for some time now though our Larchmont office, so acquiring a new location there is a natural extension for us. As part of the Sound Shore communities, New Rochelle offers a wide array of properties, from neighborhood homes to luxury waterfront estates."

Frances Eisner, who worked as a sales associate with Howard Oshlag Real Estate since 1962, took over ownership of the company in 1979. Ms. Eisner was instrumental in the start-up of the Westchester County Board of Realtors and the Westchester Multiple Listing Service, where she served in many capacities over the years.

"Our company has always been involved with local social issues and has earned a reputation as a respected and successful member of the New Rochelle community," said Ms. Eisner. "We are excited about our merger with Houlihan/ Lawrence because of this firm's wonderful reputation in the real estate industry. I wanted to leave my company with a name I would feel comfortable with."

Ms. Eisner will stay on as a senior sales associate and all Oshlag-Eisner sales associates will retain their positions with Houlihan/ Lawrence. The new office will operate in conjunction with Houlihan/ Lawrence's Larchmont office.

Diane Shapiro, manager of the Larchmont office, will also manage the New Rochelle office.
