Houlihan/Lawrence helps Shenorock community park.


The Somers office of Houlihan/Lawrence recently presented a check for $1,000 for the renewal efforts for the community park in Shenorock. The money was raised during a tag sale tag sale

yard sale of used items, usually at very low prices. [Pop. Culture: Misc.]

 benefit sponsored by Houlihan/Lawrence's Somers office and all of the proceeds from the sale were donated to the Shenorock community.

Lynn Crispinelli, of Houlihan/Lawrence, chaired the tag sale and presented the check to Dennis DiSanto, president of the United Owners Association of Shenorock, Inc. The money will be used for the purchase of park benches and outdoor structures for Shenorock's park. Recently, the UAO UAO Unilateral Administrative Order

 held the official grand opening of the park and representatives from Houlihan/Lawrence were there to share in the historic occasion.

"We are proud to be a member of this community, and as such, we strive to help preserve the area for the families who make their homes here," said Lee Zipp, manager of Houlihan/ Lawrence's Somers office. "This is our way of giving something back to the community."

Over the years, Nine Acres was used more for dumping than recreation. Today, the UOA is heading up efforts to clean and clear parts of Nine Acres to make room for a community recreation area.

The UOA is designed to promote positive community involvement and growth within Shenorock. The group is working toward the revitalization re·vi·tal·ize
