HOT AND SWEATY REX REX - The original name for Restructured EXtended eXecutor. . Eric Garcia. 2004. Read by Jonathan Marosz. Books on Tape. 8-1.5 hour tapes. 0-7366-9860-4. $81.00. Vinyl; plot notes. SA

It's dino-noir in this latest entry in Garcia's Dinosaur Mafia series. You don't have to understand the premise to enjoy the story, but it helps. With clipped tones perfectly suited to this Sam Spade-like mystery, Marosz handles the humor humor, according to ancient theory, any of four bodily fluids that determined man's health and temperament. Hippocrates postulated that an imbalance among the humors (blood, phlegm, black bile, and yellow bile) resulted in pain and disease, and that good health was  and the violence no matter the gender or the species.
