THE PACESETTER CEDARS-SINAI MEDICAL CENTER Cedars-Sinai Medical Center is a world-renowned hospital located in Los Angeles, California. History Cedars-Sinai is the result of a merger in 1961 between two major Los Angeles hospitals, Cedars of Lebanon and Mount Sinai Home for the Incurables, with Steve Broidy as WITH 949 staffed beds and net patient revenues of $1.4 billion in 2006, Cedars-Sinai Medical Center tops both lists of hospitals. The Los Angeles-based facility saw revenues increase by $85 million, or 6.5 percent compared with the like period a year earlier. Last year, the hospital opened its 150-bed Saperstein Critical Care Tower. The tower was constructed at a cost of $110 million and serves largely as a replacement of its adult intensive care unit.
