Hospital council leases space at Woodlands office complex.

Wachtler Knopf Equities LLC has leased space in its Hauppauge office complex, the Woodlands, to the Nassau Suffolk Hospital Council (NSHC).

The NSHS, a trade group for 23 not-for-profit and public hospitals on Long Island, leased 1,596 square feet at 700 Veterans Memorial Hwy for expansion. The council occupies other space nearby in Hauppauge.

The trade group was represented by David Leviton of Cushman & Wakefield of Long Island.

The landlord, a venture of Sterling American Properties and Wachtler Knopf, was represented by WKE principal Philip Wachtler. The Woodlands is a 128,000s/f, three-building office complex located on Veterans Memorial Highway. A tree-lined, campus-style setting of well maintained, well designed buildings, the Woodlands offers smaller tenants excellent brand identity within a rich corporate environment.

Established in 2005, Farmingdale, NY-based Wachtler Knopf Equities is a property management and leasing company overseeing a portfolio of 10 Long island office buildings totaling 579,000 s/f.
