Hospital Association announces two executive appointments.PRINCETON, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Feb. 2, 1995--After an extensive nationwide search, the New Jersey Hospital Association (NJHA NJHA New Jersey Hospital Association NJHA National Junior Horticultural Association NJHA New Jersey Highway Authority NJHA New Jersey Homeschool Association ) named Lynn Banner Nemeth, of Long Valley, N.J., its executive vice president and chief operating officer Chief Operating Officer (COO) The officer of a firm responsible for day-to-day management, usually the president or an executive vice-president. . In another appointment, Hillside resident Peter J. Lillo was named vice president of Government Relations. Nemeth, 40, joined NJHA Jan. 30, bringing with her a wealth of hospital operations and executive management experience. As the senior vice president for Clinical and Ambulatory Services at Morristown Memorial Hospital, she has overseen capital and operating expenditures, revenue generation and human resource management. While at Morristown Memorial, she established a for-profit, off-site physician/hospital laboratory to implement a cardiac surgery Cardiac surgery is surgery on the heart and/or great vessels performed by a cardiac surgeon. Frequently, it is done to treat complications of ischemic heart disease (for example, coronary artery bypass grafting), correct congenital heart disease, or treat valvular heart disease program. Nemeth serves on the senior management committee of VHA VHA Veterans Health Administration VHA Variable Housing Allowance VHA Villages Homeowners Association VHA Voluntary Hospitals Association VHA Virtual Home Agent VHA Very High Altitude VHA Vapor Hazard Area VHA Vermont Holstein-Friesian Association , was the former president of the Association of Healthcare Executives of New Jersey (ACHE), and has served on the board of the Hospice of Morris County. In 1991 she received ACHE's Early Career Healthcare Executive Award. A graduate of Tennessee Wesleyan College The College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools to award baccalaureate degrees of business, fine arts, humanities, natural and social sciences as well as nursing, other career-related areas, and teacher certification. with a bachelor's degree in medical technology, Nemeth received her master's degree in healthcare administration from Central Michigan University Central Michigan University, at Mount Pleasant, Mich.; coeducational; est. 1892 as a normal school, became Central State Teachers College in 1927, achieved university status in 1959. The university maintains a forest that is used for botanical and biological research. . Lillo, 35, comes to NJHA with an extensive background in government affairs. He most recently served as legislative director of Princeton-based MWW MWW Municipal Waste Water MWW Most Wanted Website Strategic Communications Inc., where he coordinated the activities of the government affairs staff and worked with a number of healthcare clients. As the former chief of staff for Assembly Deputy Speaker Frank Catania, Lillo directed the legislative district office, research legislation and coordinated constituent relations. During the Kean administration, he worked in the governor's office as the business manager and in the office of constituent relations. Involved in numerous political campaigns, Lillo most recently served on the finance committee for Haytaian for U.S. Senate, and was a member of Christie Todd Whitman's gubernatorial campaign. Lillo is a graduate of Manhattan College with bachelor's degrees in government and politics, and history.
